More than 30 nurses are again under quarantine due to the increase in COVID-19 cases. In a post on Facebook, the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses President Paul Pace said that these nurses are being deprived of their children and their families. The MUMN President said that the latest developments show the lack of respect towards healthcare workers.
Earlier this week the Malta Medical Association and various other entities appealed to the government to immediately stop mass gatherings to avoid an increase in the number of COVID-19 active cases.
On this matter, Tourism Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli said that mass events should be fixed and not cancelled.
