Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Invitation to Stakeholders Meeting

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria is aware of the gross shortage of human resources for health at all levels of health care delivery occasioned by mass migration of Nurses to urban areas and other countries with the resultant weakening of the Country’s health care system. The council is committed to producing competent professional Nurses and Midwives for better health care in line with the global trends.

The Council believes that as Stakeholder in Nursing Profession, all hands must be on deck in initiating and implementing strategies that will increase the production of Nursing and Midwifery workforce and in turn improve the health indices of the Country and position Nigeria in the group of Nations aiming to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Universal Health Coverage (UCH).

In view of the above, the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria is inviting all the Directors of Nursing Services, States Ministry of Health and Federal Capital Territory to a meeting scheduled to hold as follows:

Arrival – 1st April, 2020

Date – 2nd and 3rd April, 2020

Venue – Hotel De Bently Plot 892 Ngozi Okonjo -Iweala Street, Utako District, Abuja

Time – 9am daily
