The Day 2 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Triennial Workshop for State Directors of Nursing (DNs), Facilitators, Zonal Coordinators and Supervisors of Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme (MCPDP) 2019 kicked off yesterday with the Opening Ceremony and continuation of registration of all participants.
As at the time of filling this report, there were a total of about a hundred and thirty five registered participants (135) attending the workshop made up of the above including private providers from Nursingworld Nigeria, ERS, Lead Nurse and LPTC.
The welcome address was given by Mrs Grace M. Leo, the Director of Nursing Services, Federal Capital Territory followed by the Secretary General/Registrar Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Alh. Farouk Abubakar.
Representatives from the Federal Ministry of Health, National President NANNM, the United Nations Populations Agency (UNFPA), Women for Health (W4H), Nutrition International were all on site to give their good wiill messages at the start of the occasion.
The Chairman, Education Committe, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Mrs A. J. Adetunji was the Keynote speaker where she spoke on Continuing Professional Growth and Excellence.
The main event was the Unveiling of theNew Student Centered Learning Module by the Secretary Geneal/Registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Alh. Farouk Umar Abubakar assisted by the National Programme Manager from the Organization Women For Health (Video above)
