Concept of clinical research
Clinical research is the key to finding new solution to health care. There have been remarkable advances in health care over the years because of research which is the process of discovering, evolution and development.

Research is about asking questions, gathering evidence and drawing conclusion about the evidence that allow us to answer those questions as reliable as possible.

When the process in health care is about gathering people whether they are patients or volunteers, it is called clinical trials. Without clinical trials we have no new drugs, no new treatment and nothing better to offer the patients tomorrow than what we have today.

There are three foundational stones in quality research which are (Safety, Quality and Respect). Do all you can to ensure the quality and safety of the studies. Having known that clinical research involve people, we should respect their right and dignity.

Evolution of nursing research
Nursing research began with Florence Nightingale in her philosophy of cleanliness and disease prevention during the Crimean war (Fee and Garofalo, 2010). In 1910 to 1940 the focus of nursing research focusd on nursing education, teaching, administration and curriculum.
