Press Statement: Nursing Ambassadors Of Nigeria (NAON) On NANNM Unit Elections
Date Posted: 30/Oct/2018
On behalf of the Executives and members of NAON, I heartily congratulates all our members who contested for and won various executive positions in the ongoing NANNM Unit elections. Your victories are huge blessings to our wonderful family.
I salute your doggedness and uncompromising spirit in surmounting all pressures and antics which was aimed at shortchanging us from our resolved to collectively reposition our profession for greatness through intellectual engagements, attitudinal reforms and rebranding, efficient and competitive services and  collaborative efforts.
This is the right step in the right direction. I enjoin you to see that office as a call to duty and we are confident in your overwhelming competency to match words with the corresponding actions.
Let me also use this opportunity to reckon with the development at the University of Uyo Teaching hospital ( UUTH ) Unit election where we have two of our own (Comrades Effiong Unoekieoru and Kufre Usen) are filling against each other in a family contest for the office other Unit Secretary.
We commend the way and manner they have conducted themselves during their campaigns.
We are confident that both of them are qualified for that office but since it can only be occupied by one person at a time, We urge who ever emerges winner to be magnanimous with that victory because it is actually a victory for the NURSING AMBASSADORS Family.
In the same vein, who ever loses has not actually lost. Since its all about service, we offer an alternative platform to contribute your quota towards advancing our professional liberation.
We request every one of us who has been elected into one office or the other to avail us of that information so that our Secretariat can update your records accordingly.
Once again, Congratulations.
Long live NAON
Long live NANNM
Long live The Fed.Rep of Nigeria.
N.Amb. Bright Ifang
Chairman, NAON.
