In fulfilment of its pledge to Immortalize and honour the memory of Late Justina Ejelonu who paid the ultimate prize in the fight against the deadly ebola virus disease, Nursingworld Nigeria was at the school of nursing Agbor to issue a cheque of N50,000 to Nurse nwadozie okenyi who emerged winner for the february 2015 Justina Ejelonu Memorial Scholarship award.
The presentation of the award coincided with the state mcpdp which had in attendance the Director of Nursing services Mrs V osanekwu, the Nursing and midwifery council of nigeria zonal representative Mr Ernest Akuna and the principal school of nursing agbor Mrs Tessy Onwuka.
A mild drama ensued at the event as the award recepient had proceded on her time off and could not be reached by phone. Incidentally, she had not been informed that she had won the Justina ejelonu scholarship.
A colleague however voluntered to stand in for her as the zonal representative of the nursing and midwifery council in company of the school principal made the cheque presentation.
The Delta state Director of Nursing Mrs V osanekwu commended Nursingworld on a job well done and prayed God to strengthen the organization.
