The Federal Government on Thursday released the modalities for the nomination of delegates to the proposed national conference tentatively fixed to last for three months although a specific date has not yet been announced.
The Federal Government, in a statement read to journalists by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim in Abuja listed the breakdown of the modalities for the nomination of the delegates as relates to professional bodies to include the NIGERIAN MEDICAL ASSOICATION, NBA, NSE, CIB, NIM, NIA, ICAN, ANAN, NIPR, AAPN, NIESV, Nigerian Environment Society and Nigeria Economic Society. Obviously, The association with the largest number of health care provider NANNM was overlooked in the list of delegates to be nominated
Each of the above listed shall nominate one delegate, making it a total of 13 delegates. Efforts by the Nursingworld Nigeria press team to get the reaction of the NANNM President on this proved abortive as at time of report writing.
In the mean time, The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, yesterday, said it would not participate in the proposed National Conference, except the federal government, agreed to include more lawyers in the process.
