In commemoration of breast cancer awareness month this October, Sebeccly Cancer care and Support Centre has opened its breast helplines, social media and online information centre to educate Nigerians.
The cancer information call service, in its third edition, is an information resource centre, whereby callers can make enquries on breast health and cancer.
Media Officer for the group, Tosin Oyekanimi noted that callers are also educated on cancer screening guidelines, provided with available cancer information and chargers.
She said caller with breast abnormalities are free to walk into their Lagos office for a free consultation/check and referral to approved institution.

The breast heaplines would run throughtout October 2013, from 10 am-2pm while the email and social media run throughout the year, 24/7.
At the previous edition in 2012, a total of 110 caller centre with a majority being female (97 per cent); 80 per cent of callers were in the age range of 20-40 years,
72 per cent were skillfully employed, 52 per cent were married, 80 per cent were based in Lagos state and 90 per cent owned a mobile phone.
Eighty four per cent called seek information on breast cancer screening guidelines, 18 per cent called to report a breast abnormality and five per cent called for breast cancer counseling.
All callers were informed on breast cancer screening guidelines, 34 per cent visited Sebeccly for a breast examination and 28 per cent of callers with breast abnormalities were referred to breast clinics.
Breast lump accounted for a majority of breast abnormalities. Ninety per cent of cancer screening guidelines and were comfortable with a cancer attend to health enquiries
