Parents and patrons of the Kumasi Nurses and Midwifery Training College, coming together as Stakeholders Association, have presented a cheque for GH¢30.000 to the management of the institution towards infrastructural development.
Mr. Willie Kojo Semordzi, Vice Chairman of the Stakeholders Association of the NTC, explained that the gesture was to help rebuild the structures of the school, since the school's Internally Generated Fund (IGF) was insufficient to enhance all the infrastructural development.
Mrs. Matilda Bansah, Principal of the institution, commended the stakeholders for their tremendous efforts at making the institution one of the best in the country.
She explained that the Association was initiated in the 2010 to provide the infrastructural needs of the school.
Mrs. Bansah appealed to the stakeholders to help management collaborate with parents and guardians to protect students through disciplinary actions, to enable them perform well.
Nana Baffuor Asare Amankwatia, Bantamahene, who is also the Life Patron of the institution, commended the Association, and appealed for their continued support in kind or cash.
He entreated the management of the school to make good use of the funds for the students, and appealed to all co-operate organisations, especially oil companies in the catchment areas of Bantama, to also emulate the stakeholders.
