A call Center Nurse works from the dispatch desk where the personnel takes charge by alerting, deploying and coordinating ambulance crew/medics for ground ambulance evacuation while maintaining a real-time log of activities.
Retrieves information from emergency call takers and transmits information to emergency service personnel on the ambulance and the receiving facility
Determine and assign the level of priority of calls received by emergency call takers and enter the into a computer-aided dispatch system for radio/online dispatch purposes.
Performs triage and provide pre-arrival instructions for emergency medical calls to victims or bystanders.
Follows prescribed protocols(EMD) to provide medical instruction to callers during high confirmed emergency related events until ambulance crew arrives on scene.
Monitor and track ambulance crew locations for smooth operations.
Maintains a positive customer service attitude always with the public, corporate clients, co‐workers and supervisor.
Liaise with health care providers/ health facilities on condition of patient, expected time of arrival of ambulance and special equipment required to ensure readiness of health facility.
Liaise with on call Doctor to ensure that ambulance crew receives adequate support throughout evacuation.
