OPINION: Still On The NMCN And Hike In Fees By Roseline C. RN
Date Posted: 02/Jan/2019
Good morning everyone.
This write up focuses on the current problem surrounding the Nursing and Midwifery Council in Nigeria. I must confess that I was imbroglio when I heard about the sudden hike on the payment of Good Standing Certificate.
To make matter worse, the increase demanded by this council; over one month has not produced a clear cut on the productivity of their system.
The Council were swift to raise an increase but were bland to reciprocating the bargain by not meeting the demands of the people who applied for this certificate.
I mean we were requested to pay 53,000 Naira to get the certificate yet for over one month we are still hoping that certificate to be out.
What type of system is this?
A system that is quick to raise/increase what shouldn't cost more than 2,000 Naira and could not deliver their end of bargain is a deluded system.
At times I wonder if the people who controls this system know that they will die one day and their deeds will be revisited.
They will go to a place they have designed for themselves.
I speak to the government System.
