The National Association Of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) Gombe State chapter has sworn in its new executives.
Comerade Idris Bello emerged as the unit Chairman and him and his cabinet who are termed "the formidable force" defeated all other opponents at the polls. The election was conducted by Gombe State council Executives.
The elected chairman in his acceptance speech on behalf of the executives, gave thanks to the electoral committee and the state branch as well as the outgoing executives.
In his speech, he also promised strict financial accountability, inclusiveness and strict adherence to members welfare and extended hands of fellowship to his opponent comrade Dave Elken, he also promised that his leadership will be a partner to the management of the hospital to ensure smooth industrial harmony.
He also urged the management to take staff welfare serious to avoid any disruption of services. Against all speculations that this set of leaders will be hostile to the management, Mr Idris promised that his leadership will always take strike as the "VERY" last option and that him and his team will ensure that they assist the management in any way possible to ensure industrial harmony.
