As the the nationwide industrial action by Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) at the Federal Health Institutions which started on 17th April 2018 continues into the third week, the meeting between JOHESU leadership and the Federal Government chaired by the Honourable Minister of Labour and productivity have all ended deadlocked.
In the light of the above, the leadership has decided that all members of the unions at the State, FCT and Local Government join the strike as from midnight of 9th may 2018 as was earlier directed.
The JOHESU units at state, FCT and LGA levers are therefore directed to commence the strike as from midnight of 9th may 2018.
Nursingworldnigeria.com reports that the strike is absolute and no skeletal services would be put in place in any of the hospitals or clinics. Management staff are not exempted from the strike, they are to participate fully in the strike and unit officals are to monitor the strike to ensure absolute compliance
JOHESU urges members to note that suceess or failure of this strike will dettermine whether the Government will adjust our CONHESS salary and the future of our profession or not
