In a bid to enforce IT compliance, maximize efficiency through the use of technology, while reducing costs to Nigerian Nurses in lagos state, the leadership of the Lagos state MCPDP committe, lagos state Director of Nursing services Mrs. J.A. Agunbiade has launced an online MCPDP registration website http://www.lagosmcpdpfornurses.org

 

The MCPDP, a brain child of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria was designed for all cadres of nurses and is to be undertaken throughout their professional nursing career, evidence of attendance of this professional development programme is a pre-requisite for renewal of licence for all nurses in this country by N&MCN.

 

Speaking on the major feature of this website and its conveniece to nurses, Mr J.O.Awojide a member of the lagos state MCPDP implementation committe noted that the website contains information about the origin of the programme and reasons for its establishment,an online registration form, committee members etc.He further added that the website became necessary in order to have a platform to interact with the prospective participants/other nurses and to properly coordinate their attendance at each edition of MCPDP. Also,some nurses that are not computer literate would by virtue of this interactive and user friendly website be encouraged to be IT- compliance.
