ADVERTISEMENT FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING STAFF VACANCIES
The Federal University, OTUOKE, BAYELSA STATE, is one of the nine newly-established Federal Universities in Nigeria. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill several vacancies in the following Departments/ Units of the University for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
Senior Nursing Officer (CONTISS 9)
i. Candidate must have NRN or NRM plus post-registration experience or specialist qualification in intensive care nursing, Coronary Care Nursing or Public Health; or
ii. Bachelor of Nursing plus three years post-qualification experience.
Nursing Officer I (CONTISS 8)
The same as for Senior Nursing Officer but with 4 years post-qualification experience.
Nursing Officers (CONTISS 6)
Candidate must possess NRN or NRM
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Candidates should forward five (6) copies of the following documents:
• detailed Curriculum Vitae; and
• copies of credentials to the Registrar of the University by post
The Curriculum Vitae should, among other information include the following in this order:
i. Full Name (surname first in capital letters);
ii. Place and Date of Birth;
iv. State of Origin & Local Government Area;
vi. Permanent Home Address;
vii. Present Postal Address/GSM Numbers/E-mail Address;
viii. Marital Status;
ix. Number and Ages of Children (if any);
x. Educational Institutions Attended with Dates;
xi. Academic Qualifications Obtained with Dates;
xii. Professional Qualifications Obtained with Dates;
xiii. Working Experience including full details of former and present post(s), and pay grade levels history;
xiv. Full details of teaching and research experience and service to the nation and immediate community where applicable;
xv. List of Publications where applicable;
xvii. Extra Curricular Activities;
xviii. Position applied for;
xix. Names and Addresses of three Referees.
Candidates’ submissions should be forwarded in an envelope which should have the position applied for clearly indicated on its left-hand corner.
Candidates should also request their three Referees (3) to send reports on them, under confidential cover, direct to the Registrar of the University. The Referees should also be informed to indicate the names of their candidates and the positions and departments applied for.
